When it comes to potentially purchasing a brand new computer, there are a lot of things to consider first. As a potential buyer you should know what you will need to use the computer for and what tasks you see yourself doing. The average person will assume that a computer purchase is just a computer purchase and that they are all the same, that is not the case. Let’s dive in a little deeper, let’s say the kind of computer work you will be doing is just office related tasks such as data entry, emailing, creating documents and occasionally browsing the net to check Facebook and read some daily news. This type of user doesn’t require a PC that is powerful, because of that; the price would be very in-expensive. Most office PC’s are basic because they don’t require much power to run simple tasks.

The importance of what you will be using your computer will determine not only the price but will also determine which Intel Core processor you will need. Intel Core’s line-up of processors is the latest on the market. There are three different types of core processors to choose from, that is Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7. The company Intel was smart when coming up with a simple solution for buyers to choose from. AMD has followed a simple path with their line-up of processors as well, but for now we will only focus on Intel’s line-up. As mentioned before, you have to know specifically what tasks you will be doing with the computer you want to purchase. There are many different scenarios in this regard that you have to be aware of which I will mention below.

Let’s say that you are the kind of computer user that will do basic office tasks (as mentioned before) that don’t require much processing power, the Intel Core you will choose is i3. The Intel Core i3 is very ideal for minimum system tasks. The computer system you would find with Core i3 will have a minimum configuration of 4GB RAM, 2.9 GHz speed, and hard-disk space of 320GB to 500GB. This configuration is very ideal for a low-end system, but a very reliable one as well. Moving to the Intel Core i5 processor, this is considered to be the mid-range PC. The Core i5 is a big difference from the i3 in terms of performance and speed. This processor usually comes in two options, dual core and quad core. Computer systems with the Core i5 will be a bit pricier but it is worth every penny when you need a system that can handle more than just checking Facebook or doing Twitter updates. The Core i5 will allow you to play video games with minimal to no lag, do photo editing, graphic design, as well as video editing. The i5’s main selling point is that it provides the user with a safe multi-tasking experience with minimal problems or hang ups.

Moving towards the big boy processor, the Intel Core i7, this would be considered for high-end computing. When you need a system to run a top speeds and to be able to run a multitude of applications all at once, this is the processor for you. Many gaming PC’s utilize the i7 because it is highly recommended to have when playing high definition videos games with graphic and hardware setting put to the max. This processor offers the quad core chip-set that utilizes Turbo Boost Technology and Hyper Threading. The Intel Core i7 is recommended for PC users that are looking to not only play high-end videos games like Crysis 3 on max settings but also for those who do a lot of animation, 3D rendering, and other forms of multimedia production. The i7 series is needed when you want the best. System specs for this processor would be anywhere from 8GB-32GB of RAM, solid state hard-drives, powerful graphic cards and blistering processing speeds.

You can get pricing, purchase information, or more details of computer systems with Intel Core Processors here. As long you know what kind of computer user you are, you should have no problems choosing the right processor.
