Ever wonder how to get your very own email signature in outlook? Now you can by following the steps below. Having a signature in your email is the best way to represent your business or to look professional.

Creating A Email Signature

Open Outlook.

Goto the “File” tab on the top left window.

Click on “Options”.

On the left navigation menu, select “Mail”.

Look for the line that says “Create or modify signatures for messages”. Click the button that says “Signatures”.

Click the button “New” and enter any name.

In the “Edit signature” field, enter your text. Signatures can include anything from name, address, website link, social media links, etc.

To add a photo (logo, picture, icon, etc.), click on the small image icon (right next to Business Card). Search for a jpg or gif in your computer.

To scale your photo, click on it and drag one of the corner edges.

Where it says “Choose default signature”, select the email account you want to associate the signature with.

For both “New messages” and “Replies/forwards”, select the name you entered in Step 6.

Click save and your all done.

Alternative Way of Adding Logo/Photo to Signature

As mentioned above in step 8 you can simply add a photo by clicking on the image icon and selecting a file from your computer. But what if you don’t want to add a logo/photo that way? Here’s an alternate solution, you can copy and paste your logo/photo from any document or if for some reason copy/paste does not work for you, you can also upload a photo (jpg or gif) to your web server or to a photo sharing service like Photo Bucket. Access your photo through the web like this http://yourwebserver .com/yourphoto.jpg, once the photo is visible on the screen, you then can right click, and select copy, go back into your signature field and click paste.

If you are using Microsoft Outlook and have been receiving an error message every time you try to open an image or any type of file from one of the email messages you have received, it’s most likely because your Outlook cache or temp folder is full. The purpose of a temp folder is to make copies of emails and files received faster and much easier to access.

Problem

Can’t open image (or files) from an email message. Temp folder is full and needs to be cleared out.

Solution for Outlook

Download and install a software called Outlook Temp Cleaner (by HowTo-Outlook) which clears out the existing secure cache on your computer. The software is compatible with Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10. Download here

After the program has been successfully installed and ran on your computer, you can then go ahead back into your emails and try to open any image file. If photos are preview-able and can open, then your cache has been cleared correctly. If you come across any other problems, you can sound off in the comment selection below.

Microsoft Outlook is the standard when it comes to online and offline email client software. Microsoft Outlook is used by millions of people including businesses around the world. No wonder why this email client is so important. When using particular software for a large duration of time, you will tend to come across errors or problems along the way. Some errors can be simply ignored while others cannot. This particular problem happens often and it can come out of nowhere if you weren’t careful enough.

If you are in your outlook program and you happen to see duplicate emails in your sent folder, you may have been asking yourself what went wrong? This problem simply occurs when a setting is not configured right when the particular email account was being setup.

Solution:

To fix this particular problem is just a few steps. This will help you to get rid of those pesky duplicates for good. For the following steps, I will be using Outlook 2010.

If Outlook is not already open, on your desktop or start menu, click on the Microsoft Outlook icon to access the program.

At the top, click on the tab that says “File”

On the left navigation menu, make sure “Info” is selected. Now click on “Account Settings”

Select the email account that is creating the duplicates by double clicking on it

Select the option “More Settings”

Select the tab called “Sent Items”

Select the option field for “Do not save copies of sent items”

Apply your changes and return to your main outlook mail folder view.

And that pretty much solves your duplicate email issue. Be sure to save this guide so you can come back to it as reference when setting up new email accounts with Outlook. If you also have any problems with Microsoft Excel, we have a solution to for opening multiple excel windows at the same time. I hope this was a big help for you. Happy emailing!
